Public Information Officer (PIO)
The Public Information Officer (PIO) is responsible for receiving and processing all RTI requests. The PIO will assist applicants by providing information that is publicly available and guide them on how to request information that may not be immediately accessible.

The PIO is required to respond to RTI requests within 30 days of receiving the application. If the information requested pertains to life or liberty, the PIO will respond within 48 hours.
Appellate Authority
If an applicant is dissatisfied with the response provided by the PIO, they have the right to appeal to the Appellate Authority. The Appellate Authority will review the appeal and ensure that the information is provided in compliance with the RTI Act.
